Multidisciplinary Heart Team (MHT) Review
Complex cases benefit from multidisciplinary heart team (MHT) review - meaning both a cardiologist and a cardiac surgeon are equally involved in the patient's decision-making. In fact, this is an AHA / ACC /STS / AATS Class I Guideline, but often skipped in conventional private hospital systems. Verus offers MHT review, and it is recommended for all patients with complex valvular disease, structural pathology, and challenging coronary disease (e.g. equivocal or discordant testing, failed catheter-based therapy), as well as aortic pathology.
Virtual Consultation
The time you need for the answers you deserve. Each consultation ranges from 60-120 minutes, and doesnt require you to travel - you can chat with our doctors from the comfort of your own home. Our AI ambient scribe will take notes, so the doctor can focus on you during this time. You and your loved ones can rest assured that you have the full attention of a surgeon or cardiologist that knows your case inside and out.

Comprehensive Discussion of Alternatives
You always have options. Our team will discuss with you if any of the following options are available or advisable for your specific case:
- Minimally invasive (e.g. robotic valve surgery, mini-sternotomy)
- Medical (non-surgical) therapies (e.g. GDMT, watchful waiting)
- Institutional options (e.g. centers of excellence)
- Surgical subspecialists (e.g., for complex cases requiring additional expertise and a robust postoperative support system)
